In international law, there are good rules for the protection of the global cultural heritage, such as the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and the 1954 Hague Convention, customary rules and doctrine. UNESCO's recognized cultural heritage in each country is part of the cultural heritage of humanity and of the world, which, in addition to general support in international law, has been particularly recognized within the framework of the International Criminal Law System within the Statute and the Code of Conduct Elements. With the entry into force of the Rome Statute on July 17, 2002, and the creation of an International Criminal Court, the world for the first time has become an independent international judiciary with the authority to prosecute those who have the greatest responsibility for the inevitable destruction of property Cultural is in the process of armed conflict. For the first time in the history of the International Criminal Tribunal, the world witnessed a trial of someone charged with a war crime against cultural property in the Ahmed al-Fakhi al-Mahdi case. The Court's approach in this case is affected by its statute of "interpretation approach in favor of civilians .
